Welcome Back! (Ma$e and GC)
After 27 days, 3 weddings, 3 marriage
proposals, countless sightings of attractive women, 2 servings of homemade
chocolate chip cookies, 0 days of job hunting, and one major disappointment-
GC is finally back in his hometown of Windsor,
and let me be the first to say it SUCKS
to be home. I used to dislike Windsor before I left, but after coming
back from being in Vancouver for a month,
dislike has turned into resentment.
What's Your Beef Bitch?
My trip was amazing
though- my cousin’s wedding was really nice; I got to see all the
sights, met family I didn’t know I had, visited friends, and hung
out with some cool people. I was lucky in the sense that the whole time
I was there the weather was beautiful and it only rained 2 days. While
I was there I basically went all over the place. I visited a lot of touristy
sites such as Whistler, Victoria, Shannon Falls,
Queen Elizabeth Park, Stanley Park, White Rock Beach, Abbotsford’s
Gravity Road, Mount Baker (in Washington State), lots of really beautiful
Gudwara’s (Sikh temples), and other places I probably can’t
remember right now. Even when we weren’t busy sight-seeing, my cousins
were nice enough to give me the keys to one of their cars so that I could
use it whenever I wanted, to go wherever else I wanted. I even got to
chill with Sabrina and Jag
(Vancouver Jag who is female- not to be confused with Michigan Jag who
is not-so-female)! I stayed at my cousin’s place in Delta-
but they live basically on the borderline right next to Surrey
(where all the Indians live). In the area I was staying in there were
so many Indian people that it was pretty rare to see more than a few white
people each day- which is the polar opposite of Windsor, where its rare
to see more than a few Indians each day. If I’m lucky enough to
find a decent job there- I think I’d seriously move out West- just
for the scenery, weather, and attractive women alone. You can find more
details about my Vancouver trip and the photographs I took by checking
out the photo album which should be coming soon. Thanks to Oeun
for driving me up to Toronto to catch my flight to Vancouver after my
jeep died the day before I was suppose to leave! Also thanks to Amy
for picking me up from TO.
I’ve been pretty busy since being back in
Ontario. Thursday, the day I came back, I
went to a birthday party for Nia at Ayman’s
restaurant- happy 24th Nia!! On Saturday
I was off to Toronto again (I landed in Toronto
from Vancouver and had to drive back to Windsor) for my cousin
Bal’s wedding. It’s amazing that Bal got married! This
is because Bal is my cousin that for a while there seemed like he’d
be a player forever. I’m happy for him though- his wife is really
beautiful, and she seems like a nice person. Congrats Bal! Sunday I was
off to Gen’s Jack and Jill Baby Shower.
It was surprisingly fun. There was alcohol, cake, balloons, chicks, and
prizes- just like my 12th birthday! Congrats to Jay and Gen! Baby Liam
is due in September. Liam is a pretty cool name- definitely way better
than Gwyneth Paltrow naming her baby Apple. If Gwyneth’s next child
is a boy will she name him Orange?
One of those Olsen Twins
is in rehab for what’s officially being called an eating disorder,
but tabloids are calling a cocaine addiction. As Michelle from Full House
used to say- “You’re in big trouble MISTER!”. What would
Danny, Uncle Jesse and Uncle Joey say? In other news, they still look
like twin chimpanzees that have escaped from the zoo.
In other Olsen twins news, Salman
is on the South Beach diet. He won’t be satisfied until he has the
body of Mary-Kate.
Britney Spears has
a new music video where she pretends to kill herself. I was upset that
it was just pretend- what a fucking tease. Here’s a question- why
does Britney Spears still exist? Most of us have traded her in for the
younger, more attractive model- Hilary Duff. In other Britney news- she’s
engaged to guy who already has two children with some chick that used
to be on that shitty show Moesha. Way to keep it white trash Britney!
That poor guy that she married for 55 hours back in January apparently
still thought there were on their honeymoon.
I saw Fahrenheit 9/11
FINALLY last night after waiting several grueling weeks. The reason I
waited so long was because before I left to Vancouver I told Sinath that
I’d see it with her after she came back from California- which happened
to be Tuesday. I’m a huge fan of Michael Moore- I’ve read
his books “Stupid White Men” and “Dude Where’s
my Country?” and enjoyed his previous films “Bowling for Columbine”
and “Roger & Me”. He even used to have a great show on
television called “The Awful Truth” where he would go around
exposing corporations of misconduct. I highly suggest you check out all
of those books and movies if you enjoy his work. Well that’s enough
Michael Moore praise- now down to what I thought of the new documentary
Fahrenheit 9/11.
The documentary didn’t provide much information that I was previously
unaware of, it was obviously biased, and only from one standpoint, and
information was left out in cases that it would water down his opinion.
That being said it was a truly brilliant piece of cinema. I’m saying
that because this movie has information in it that every American should
know- but most do not. The sad truth is that generally the American public
is uninformed, and grossly unaware of the things that actually happen
in their country. I don’t really blame them entirely, because the
media in the states is really biased in what they cover. So although this
movie didn’t cover much new territory- it was a movie that had to
be made- and Michael Moore was the man who was brave enough to do it.
Even though some Republicans claim Moore’s views are “un-American”,
my personal opinion is that he is that he is an extremely patriotic American.
He completely supports the troops that are in Iraq, but at the same time
he’s enormously against the reason why they are there, and the members
of government who gave the public false reasons to why troops were necessary
in Iraq. He feels the American public has the right to know the deep connections
between the Bin Laden and Bush families, as well as the fact that Iraq
was NOT connected to the Taliban or the September 11th attack on the Twin
Towers.
Anyone who says this movie doesn’t show both sides, and that it’s
biased is completely correct. At the same time everything in the movie
is based on undeniable factual evidence. I feel it contains information
that every voting American should know, not to mention it would give Americans
a good idea to why everyone in the world hates them. SEE THIS MOVIE! Tell
everyone you know to see this movie! If you don’t have the 10 bucks
to see it- I’ll pay for you to see it!… or I’ll just
like burn you a copy or something. And in November remember to VOTE JOHN
KERRY! I’m sure he’s an asshole too- but probably only a moderate
asshole in comparison to George W. Bush.
Wally, Soc, and Nia are off in Japan visiting
Sok. Have a great time guys! Wallace is excited
about being in Japan because his penis is twice as long as any Japanese
man’s- his is a whole TWO inches apparently. At least that’s
how long Wing says it is.
Jerry is still off
in Singapore on vacation. I was sad yet happy to hear that Jerry won’t
be in Windsor next year because he was accepted into Ohio
State University. I’m happy that he won’t have to live
in this urban wasteland we affectionately call Windsor, but at the same
time its gonna suck not having him around. But congrats dude! Now actually
STAY at this university till you get a degree or become Van Wilder or
something- alright?!
I got to hear Butch Walker’s
forthcoming CD “Letters” which is coming out on Sony records
at the end of August. It’s a really mellow CD that’s guitar
and piano driven, and contains songs with great lyrics and catchy singable
chorus’s. I was a little disappointed that there were only 1 or
2 songs on the album that weren’t ballads because I really enjoyed
Butch’s rocking songs off his last CD, such as “My Way”,
“Suburbia”, and “San Fernando Sex Star”. Its still
a really great CD and I hope “Mixtape” actually gets radioplay-
that song fucking RULES. Its too bad that 80% of the radio stations in
American are owned by one company. Fucking Clear Channel. Anyways, Butch
is coming in concert in Detroit the first week of August & tickets
are hella cheap- who wants to go with me?! Call me up, or e-mail me, or
something
Last Saturday Jag, Marwan,
Jag’s friend Gurpreet and myself, went to Chicago
for a day trip. Jag got us a sweet car rental for only 30 bucks US. We
decided to go just as something to do, and also Marwan had never been
to Chicago so he wanted to check it out. I went to Chicago only one time
previously, also with Jag, but that time we went we didn’t really
check out many things, because Jag’s friend (different friend) came
along and tied up most of our day because he went there to meet a chick
that wasn’t giving him the time of day (it’s a long long sad
boring story that makes you want to shoot yourself in the mouth- so I’ll
spare you). We left early in the morning at 8am, and came back the next
day at about 5am. This time we got to see the Downtown core of Chicago
and I was pretty impressed. They have a pretty decent city over there.
Their lakefront that overlooks Lake Michigan was really nice- they have
bike paths, as well as benches and footpaths. Totally kicks Windsor’s
river pathway’s ass all the way to Chinatown. We checked out the
Navy Pier, which was all right. It was extremely
congested with tourists- it was the kinda place that you could tell that
no one who was actually from Chicago would ever go there intentionally.
We also checked out the Shed Aquarium, which
a person at Marwan’s work suggested. The Aquarium was alright- but
was overpriced. It was $23 US! I mean it was a nice aquarium and everything-
but not $23 nice. We didn’t even get to see the sharks eat an aquarium
employee or anything.
We did a lot of walking around in Chicago- along the lakefront and also
on Michigan Ave. I really enjoyed Michigan
Ave. which is also known as “The Magnificent Mile”. Its basically
a street that has a lot of posh and pricey stores, tall skyscrapers, nice
restaurants, and beautiful people hustling and bustling around. (That’s
right I said “hustling and bustling”- I like to work it into
at least one update every decade- now I’m all set till 2014) One
thing I have to say is that the women of Chicago can DRESS. We saw many
attractive women who were dressed in very fashionable clothing strolling
up and down the streets- usually with a few bags in their hands from designer
stores, holding a LV purse, and talking on their cell phones. Two words-
HIGH MAINTENANCE! But aside from that I was really impressed. And for
anyone that knows me- I’m not the easily impressible type. Almost
all of the women that we saw were Caucasian- so it was a shame that Wing
and Oeun didn’t make the trip. Marwan
was so impressed that he used his patented phrase “Damn
girl- wuts cho name?!” at least a few dozen times.
We finished our night by eating on the patio of the Cheesecake
Factory, which was a really good restaurant. None of us tried the
cheesecake though since the portions of our meal were really big, and
none of us had room. Yeah, yeah, we fucking copped out- who goes to a
restaurant called the Cheesecake Factory and DOESN’T get cheesecake?
The cheesecake looked really hype too- they had like 20 different kinds
to choose from. Jag was giving the waitress
a hard time ordering like a jackass- although I don’t think it was
intentional. At least I hope not. I’d explain it here- but I’m
sure it wouldn’t be nearly as funny written. If you care to hear
a good story about Jag being stupid, just ask me, and I’ll pass
it along. All in all we had a great time in Chicago, and we definitely
have to go back. Next time we go we’ll have to get a hotel, and
go for 2 days so we can check more stuff out- such as the nightlife, and
not have to worry about driving back the same day. Also Jag and Marwan
will have more time to figure out who the desi girl in the burgundy top
was. Thanks to Jag for renting the car and driving! Pics coming soon!
I finally got an e-mail from
Jod!! He’s been chillin in the Philippines and doesn’t
plan to come back until September- when he plans to begin his search for
a “real” job. He e-mailed me this picture (to the right),
which I got a kick out of. Remember to bring me back my maids!
As I mention in my update a few months ago- Ma$e
is officially back! His new single is called "Welcome Back"
and you can check out the video by clicking here.
The video is MAAAD corny- but it is kinda funny. I'm anxious to hear Mase's
cd coming out this August to see if its any good.
Kevin and Thomas just
moved into a new apartment up in Toronto-
the end of an ERA! Their apartment on Dundonald will be fondly remembered
for all the alcohol that was consumed there, as well as the revolving
door of visitors and occupants. Kev and Tom didn't move too far away though-
they moved a few blocks away into Kevin's sisters old apartment. You guys
better have kept my SHRINE.
Nelly and Linkin Park
still suck, and so does most of the music that you listen to.
Hey you! Yeah YOU!
You reading my website- who the hell are you? The reason I ask is because
my website is getting a phenomenal amount of hits lately, and I really
have no idea who is visiting the site so often (especially since updates
are few and far between). Its possible that someone keeps on hitting refresh
several times to drive up my webcounter- you know a GC stalker or something.
If that’s true, then keep up the good work! Seriously though- I
have no idea where people are finding my website! I had some dude add
me on msn from France to tell me how much he enjoys my website, which
he came across accidentally while he was searching for information about
Kanye West. A few people from overseas have
signed my guestbook also recently, and under the heading “How did
you find this website?”, they chose the option “Just Surfed
In”. My question is- just surfed in from WHERE?! So if you’re
reading this website and I don’t know who you are- sign the guestbook,
write something in the chatterbox, or send me an old fashion e-mail at
gchahal@hotmail.com Who knows- maybe I’ll
motivate me to update more than twice a millennium. As always- remember
to tell your friends and enemies about gc.canadianred.com-
now Atkins approved with 0 net carbs!
